I have this on my bed as a bedspread. It is a little small. It heats up quickly. It will allow you to go up to a heat setting of 6 but that is much too warm for me. I usually turn it on before I get into bed and then turn it off when I go to sleep. The blanket is warm enough on it’s own. I tried a setting of 1 and 2 while I sleep but that is just too warm for me. It is very soft.

This was my second attempt at an electric blanket for this gray, clammy Alabama winter. The first blanket was returned twice for control failure. This blanket is another story altogether! Very thick and super soft. Bought the queen for my queen-sized bed and I have plenty of overhang on all three sides.The controls are super easy to use, and very adjustable. Although with such a thick blanket, I turn it on before I come to bed then turn it off when I climb in because it’s so warm. When it’s really cold, I’ll leave it on longer, and love that it has an incremental timer.The cords are super long, so it’s easy to run it wherever you need.It’s a well-made, high-quality blanket. A really good balance between cost and quality.

Unfortunately, I ordered a Queen by mistake when I needed a Full, and the larger size requires an outlet on each side of the bed to plug it in, which means I need to return it.
